For You Page on Matters.com

The For You page is  where you see what’s happening across topics and decide what matters to you as you go.

Unlike most platforms, the For You page is driven less by an algorithm and more by your own choices. You directly rate what Matters and Not Matters, instead of the system guessing based on clicks or engagement. This helps avoid engagement for engagement’s sake and keeps the focus on what you actually care about.

The page is divided into sections. One section shows topics you may or may not have rated yet, so you can see what people are talking about without committing to anything. As you read or watch content, you can rate the topic right there.

Once you rate a topic as Matters, you’ll start seeing more of it through sub-topics. For example, if you say Video Games matter, you may see sub-topics like Sports Games or RPGs within video games. You rate these as you explore them, naturally, while consuming content.

If you click into a topic, you’ll see its sub-topics and can go deeper when you want.

The For You page is also a place to connect with others. As you create content, it can appear on other people’s For You pages. You can follow people and connect with them directly from the For You page.

You’ll also see an AI Recommendations section. These are topics suggested for you to review and rate. AI recommendations act like another form of rating, except the initial suggestion is done for you. You decide what happens next.

As you rate topics, the For You page adjusts — showing more of what matters and less of what doesn’t, without needing to search or manage everything upfront.
